Stephen Pattison is professor of religion, ethics, and practice at Birmingham University, having previously been a senior lecturer in health and social welfare at the Open University. He has taught practitioners in the fields of medicine, nursing, social work, management and religion. Ben Hannigan is a senior lecturer in the Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies, Cardiff University. He previously worked as a community mental health nurse in an inter-professional team in East London. Roisin Pill is a medical sociologist. She is Professor Emerita at the Department of General Practice, School of Medicine, Cardiff University and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
