Auf diese Ausgabe habe ich mich als Neu-Shanty-Fan total gefreut. Jetzt ist sie endlich eingetroffen und trifft voll meine Erwartungen. Schon erstaunlich, dass die Notenausgabe eines einzelnen Songs solche Vorfreude bei mir hervorrufen kann. Musik macht halt doch glücklich! Der Untertitel "In 6 Schritten vom Seemann zum Kapitän" weist auf das Programm in: 6 Versionen von ganz leicht bis ausgebufft, so dass hier jede/r mindestens eine spielbare Version für sich finden kann. Wer lieber nur singt, findet gleich zu Beginn Melodie und Text und kann im Freundeskreis rumfragen, ob jemand Gitarre spielen und begleiten möchte. Zeitgleich ist zudem noch eine Ausgabe für Ukulele mit gleichem Aufbau erschienen, da wird sich bestimmt jemand als Duettpartner finden.
