Absolutly emotional!
This book took me through ups and downs. I found myself shaking my head a few times, then take a deep breath and go on reading.

This is not a shitstorm book that is intended to spread rumors. I think Britney talks very reflectively about how she experienced everything back then and how she felt about it.

I can recommend this book to everyone. It doesn't matter if you're a Britney fan or not. Because her story is one that should be heard and read!
As far as book titles are concerned, Jennette McCurdy's memoir surely has one of the most provocative ones. When the actress rose to fame through the Nickelodeon shows iCarly and Sam & Cat, nobody could have imagined the turmoil behind the scenes - her family's financial insecurity, a very strict upbringing, dehumanizing auditions, emotional abuse from her mother, and immense pressure from the show's producer. How do you undo a lifetime of manipulation, and destructive coping mechanisms, and land to stand on your own feet? In I'm Glad My Mom Died, she delves deep into these uncomfortable topics with refreshing frankness and surprisingly dark humor. Every chapter closes with a metaphorical gut punch that makes putting the book down nearly impossible. An infuriating, yet highly captivating read and one of the best memoirs to come out of 2022.

Es liest sich einfach so weg, hat mir wahnsinnig viel Lust auf's Weiter- und Wiederentdecken der Musik mit dem eigentlich so irreführenden Begriff Krautrock gemacht und erklärt nachvollziehbar, warum diese innovativen, neuen Klänge so nur in Deutschland entstehen konnten.

Christoph Dallach hat unzählige Interviews mit nahezu allen Musiker:innen aus dem Inneren der Szene geführt und deren O-Töne zu einer großartigen Collage montiert, die sich in verschiedenen Kapiteln nicht nur mit den bekanntesten Bands und Künstler:innen, sondern auch mit deren Elternhäusern, der deutschen Nachkriegsgesellschaft, WGs, Jazz, Drogen, Reisen und der allgemeinen Musiklandschaft auseinandersetzt. Er ist einer der größten Stars Hollywoods, Rapper, Kino-Held und der "Prinz von Bel-Air". WE ARE ARRESTED: Can Dundar is one of the best-known figures in Turkish Media. Dundar is the recipient of many major awards including the Whistleblower Award, the Gustav-Heinemann-Burgerfeis Award, the International Press Freedom Award from the Committee to Protect Journalists, the Oxfam Novib/PEN Award for Freedom of Expression and was named European Journalist of the Year. Together with Erdem Gul, he was awarded in 2016 the Prize for the Freedom and Future of the Media by the Leipzig Media Foundation. Pippa Hill is the RSC's Literary Manager and has worked across a huge range of plays and projects. Sophie Ivatts is a freelance director, writer and script-editor, who develops original drama for both stage and screen. She was the Associate Director for the RSC's A Midsummer Night's Dream: A Play for the Nation and was the Clore Fellow for Theatre for 2016/17.
DAY OF THE LIVING: Darren Clark is an award-winning writer of music and lyrics for the theatre. His credits include The Wicker Husband (Winner of Stiles & Drewe Award 2016), Scarecrows Wedding (UK Tour, Leicester Square Theatre) and These Trees Are Made of Blood (Southwark Playhouse/Arcola Theatre), a play he collaborated on with Amy Draper. Theatre director and creator Amy Draper's other recent work includes Hansel and Gretel (Iris Theatre) and Princess Charming (Ovalhouse). In 2013 Amy was the Community Director for the CASA Latin American Theatre Festival. Juliet Gilkes Romero is an award-winning playwright and journalist. She has reported for the BBC from countries including Cuba, Ethiopia, Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Juliet is currently the RSC and Birmingham University Creative Fellow. Her recent plays include Upper Cut (Southwark Playhouse), Razing Cane (shortlisted for the Alfred Fagon Award) and radio play One Hot Summer (Radio 4).
