Children's Day for 2-7 year olds with multilingual reading aloud & workshop
As part of the "Reading Aloud in All Languages" project, we want to promote reading aloud and language acquisition.
Many languages are spoken in Germany. As part of the project "Reading Aloud in All Languages," we want to promote reading aloud and language acquisition. Because reading aloud can only become a matter of course in every family if it is possible in many languages. In cooperation with six children's book publishers, nine popular picture books for 2-7 year olds are being translated into seven languages in addition to German: Arabic, Farsi, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian. On our Read Aloud Day, children will be read to in four languages, and at the same time can look forward to a joint craft workshop. There will also be a bookmobile from the Mitte library in front of the KulturKaufhaus.

In the bookmobile "Lotte" of the Stadtbibliothek Mitte you can read and browse. With a library card you can borrow books in many languages. If you don't have a library card, you can get one for free in the bookmobile if you are accompanied by your mom or dad. You can listen to a reader. She will discover great picture books with you.
