A day for the Staatsoper - a tradition at KulturKaufhaus Dussmann. The Staatskapelle Berlin is a truly traditional ensemble that has been shaping the musical life of Berlin and beyond as an opera and symphony orchestra since the opening of the opera house “Unter den Linden” more than 280 years ago. The new General Music Director Christian Thielemann, one of the most prominent conductors of our time, will be a guest on this day, as will the celebrated pianist Igor Levit. In conversation, the two will give an insight into their first joint CD project, which they recently realized.
Musicians from the Staatskapelle and other artists from the Staatsoper will provide musical entertainment on the day - with insights into the current season and their work at one of the most important cultural institutions in the capital and the country.
