A lewd joke, a compliment, an invitation to dinner - where does sexualizing, boundary-violating or abusive behaviour actually begin in everyday working life? Why do we find it so difficult to recognize and correctly classify sexual harassment? Who are these perpetrators? Is there such a thing as a victim type? Is there such a thing as a victim type? And what can employers do to prevent harassment?
Franziska Saxler has experienced structural violence herself: at university as a doctoral student in psychology. She then founded #metooscience with other victims and started a new doctoral thesis. Topic: sexual harassment in the workplace. In her book “He didn't even touch you”, she sheds light on the power and discrimination structures in working life. She shows what constitutes a toxic work environment and enables those affected to recognize the abuse of power and take the first steps towards healing.
