Compelling charisma, a great love of experimentation and enthusiasm as well as unrestricted artistic seriousness - all this makes the Liverpool-born conductor one of the most fascinating conductors of our time. Sir Simon Rattle conducted the BR Choir and Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO) for the first time in 2010 with Schumann's Paradise and the Peri. Sir Simon Rattle is now celebrating the 75th anniversary of the BRSO in 2024 as Chief Conductor and can tell as much about the history of the orchestra as he can about his already critically acclaimed recording of Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 6.
